In my last post I mentioned I’ve been sharing math and science news every day.

Today in my Algebra 2 class I gave a test first thing, skipping my usual routine. One student, concerned: “were you doing the math news thing today?”

I was. (Twenty-two moves suffice to solve the Rubik’s Cube.) Then I gave an overview of Abstract Algebra and explained how you might fit the manipulations of the Rubik’s Cube into an algebra.

I think I’ll keep this one.
